THE SOUTH AFRICA SIGNATURE SERVE
Through LIV Golf’s partnership with Pernod Ricard, fans will be able to enjoy the tournament’s official signature cocktail, the Glenlivet Smooth Swing. Crafted around The Glenlivet 12 Year Old, the serve presents the iconic whisky through a fresh and modern lens, combining soft orchard fruit and gentle oak with notes of litchi and cucumber, balanced by coconut water for a light and refreshing finish. Garnished with fresh mint and a subtle touch of salt, the Smooth Swing is designed to complement warm fairways and long afternoons on the course while allowing the character of the whisky to shine through. The signature cocktail will be available in hospitality areas as well as select public concession bars across the venue.
CATCH THE PARTY HOLE ACTION LIVE
On Saturday, March 21, from 12:15-18:15, LIV Golf is partnering with SuperSport to broadcast a live stream from the Lion’s Den Party Hole at Steyn City, hosted by OG Molefe and Dave Usendorff.
The broadcast will be available across South Africa and the United States on the LIV Golf and SuperSport YouTube channels.
The live stream will feature special guest appearances and interviews throughout the broadcast, including Scott O’Neil (LIV Golf CEO), Gayton McKenzie (Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture of South Africa) and Richard Glover (GM, Southern Guards GC), among others.
The program will deliver live coverage, interviews and behind-the-scenes access from one of the tournament’s most energetic fan environments, bringing audiences closer to the action and atmosphere of LIV Golf.
WHERE SPORT MEETS ART: A CELEBRATION OF SOUTH AFRICAN CREATIVITY
Beyond the fairways, LIV Golf South Africa will showcase the country’s dynamic art scene, transforming the Fan Village, Hospitality Suites and surrounding areas into a vibrant cultural canvas that celebrates local creativity, craftsmanship and community.
From street art to sculpture exhibitions and interactive installations, fans will experience art woven throughout the tournament.
Where Sport Meets Sculpture: A Curated Art Experience
A curated sculpture exhibition will feature works from some of South Africa’s most celebrated contemporary artists, bringing a striking visual dimension to the tournament environment.
The exhibition includes works by Lionel Smit, Nic Bladen, Angus Taylor and Lucinda Mudge, widely recognised as leading figures in South Africa’s contemporary art landscape.
Alongside these established artists, emerging artist Joel Mamboka will showcase his work in Club 54. Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mamboka’s inclusion reflects the broader African creative voice being celebrated at the first LIV Golf tournament on the African continent. Together, the works create a powerful intersection of art and sport, placing contemporary African sculpture within the dynamic setting of a global sporting event.
The Art Village in Partnership with Jasper & Jute
Complementing the sculpture programme is the Art Village, presented in partnership with Jasper & Jute, which transforms the Fan Village into an open-air gallery experience. Here, fans can explore a curated collection of original artworks, photography, prints and limited editions from both South African and international artists. Designed as a space for discovery and artistic conversation, the Art Village allows visitors to engage directly with contemporary art while enjoying the energy of the tournament environment.
Celebrating Local Craft & Inclusive Impact
LIV Golf South Africa will also spotlight local craftsmanship by incorporating beadwork and handcrafted pieces from small Johannesburg businesses into the exhibition design across the venue. From bespoke beaded installations featured within hospitality areas to decorative accents complementing sculpture displays, these elements add texture, colour and cultural richness throughout the event. The initiative also prioritises collaboration with artisans living with disabilities, commissioning custom works that provide meaningful economic opportunity while promoting inclusive creative participation.
Graffiti Murals
Johannesburg’s rich street art culture will come to life through a live graffiti mural, where a local artist will create a large-scale artwork throughout the tournament. Positioned in high-traffic areas such as the Fan Village or near the 18th hole, fans will be able to watch the mural evolve over the course of the four-day event, blending golf, urban art and South African identity into a live creative experience.
“Colour Your City” Interactive Art Wall
Fans will also be able to contribute to a large collaborative artwork through the “Colour Your City” wall, a multi-metre illustrated canvas celebrating South Africa’s iconic landscapes, wildlife and cultural traditions. Guests of all ages will be invited to add colour and creativity to the mural, transforming it into a living piece of art that evolves throughout the tournament.
Steyn City School Art Competition
To inspire the next generation of artists, learners from Steyn City School (Grade 0–12) will participate in a special LIV Golf art competition, creating poster designs inspired by the tournament and its themes of sport, music, food and creativity. Selected artworks will be displayed across the Fan Village and hospitality areas during the event, with students receiving recognition for their work.
Local Craft & Design Showcase
In partnership with the Craft & Design Institute and the Gauteng Department of Arts & Culture, the tournament will also spotlight talented artists and designers from across Gauteng’s neighbouring townships. The initiative will feature handcrafted works, design pieces and custom installations from emerging creatives, offering fans the opportunity to experience and support locally produced art and craft. The programme also prioritises collaboration with artisans living with disabilities, ensuring the exhibition provides meaningful economic opportunities while celebrating inclusive creativity.
Artist-Designed Broadcast Towers
Art will even extend to the tournament’s broadcast infrastructure, with custom-designed TV towers created by South African artists including:
- Matthew Koster – known for bold geometric compositions inspired by Ndebele patterns and Southern African rock art.
- Ryan Harper – a Johannesburg-based artist specialising in realism across traditional and digital media.
- Bianca Black – whose work blends structured design with expressive colour, texture and culturally inspired symbolism.
These installations will create a distinctive visual identity for LIV Golf South Africa, turning functional structures into works of art visible throughout the course.
FOUR DAYS OF WORLD-CLASS GOLF
LIV Golf South Africa will feature 72 holes of stroke play across four days, delivering even more action for fans. The field includes 57 players, featuring some of the biggest names in golf including Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Cameron Smith, Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia.
The tournament will also have a strong local storyline with South Africa’s LIV team, Southern Guards GC, captained by Louis Oosthuizen alongside Charl Schwartzel, Branden Grace and Dean Burmester.
The 2026 season arrives in Johannesburg with plenty of momentum, including breakout performances from rising stars and dramatic early-season victories that promise an intensely competitive event at Steyn City.
FAMILY FAIRWAY: FUN FOR ALL AGES
Families attending LIV Golf South Africa will be able to explore the Family Fairway, a dedicated space designed for younger fans. This immersive area will feature safari-themed play zones, junior golf challenges, interactive crafts and hands-on activities inspired by South African culture. The Family Fairway offers a vibrant environment where children can learn, play and experience the excitement of LIV Golf alongside their families.
