  • Tell us a bit about yourself.

Outside of my job, I’m passionate about fashion and run a business called Lush, which offers unique ready-to-wear pieces for women. As a Christian, I also find joy in ministry work, serving at my local church, and using my influence to spread God’s word

  • How long have you been in the industry?

I have been in the crypto industry for over two years. My first real introduction to crypto came from my role as a Marketing Manager at Binance, the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange.

  • What does Women’s Month mean to you, and how do you embody empowerment in your personal and professional life?

Women’s Month serves as a powerful reminder of our history, our progress, and our significant contributions to shaping the future of this country. Women have consistently been at the forefront of societal change, and I am proud that we are celebrated for it.

As a woman, I embody empowerment by actively participating in inclusive communities and leveraging professional relationships to continuously learn and help others upskill. I don’t see myself as a gatekeeper but as a mentor to young women aspiring to enter the fintech industry. An empowered woman empowers others.

In my personal life, I ensure that I know my worth, set healthy boundaries, and refuse to be defined by society’s expectations. I am approachable and amiable, genuinely caring for myself and others. I will always stand up for my beliefs and challenge the status quo.

  • What advice would you give to young women starting their careers in marketing and business development?

Stay curious! Thankfully, in this Information Age, there’s a wealth of knowledge available on Blockchain, Crypto, and various tech fields. Attending workshops and joining online communities has been invaluable for me. Building connections with the right people and seeking out potential mentors is also essential. LinkedIn and Telegram are excellent platforms to begin with.

  • How do you prioritize self-care and maintain a healthy work-life balance in a demanding role like yours?

Sometimes, doing absolutely nothing is exactly what you need. Recently, due to my constant online presence, I’ve developed the habit of completely disconnecting and spending weekends binge-watching my favourite shows or diving into a good book. Lately, I’ve been engrossed in Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Notes on Grief, which resonates with my current state of mind.

Spending time with friends and family, as well as traveling whenever possible, also helps me maintain a healthy work-life balance.

  • How do you measure success, and what impact do you hope to make on the next generation of women leaders?

Beyond achieving company goals and objectives, I gauge success by the positive influence I have on those around me. I am passionate about mentorship and driving my team towards excellence. One of my key measures of success is nurturing talent and helping individuals become stars in their professions.

I want the next generation of women leaders to understand that they are limitless. There are no boundaries to how far or how high they can ascend.
