By Following a hugely successful first installment of the Brutal Fruit Spritzer Saturday Brunches in 2023, the vibrant lifestyle event series is set to return bigger and better this year. This time, the series will come to life in Cape Town at the stunning Cabo Beach Club on April 13th, before closing in blockbuster fashion at the scenic Idle Wilds Country Estate on April 27.
When the brunches first launched last year, they were immediately met with widespread fanfare, and it didn’t take long before tickets were sold-out for each of the events. It has become a staple in many people’s calendars as a cultural moment to connect, celebrate and be inspired. With this new series, the brand will be bringing the Saturday Brunches to even more people and creating more iconic memories. Beyond the incredible line-ups (we had performances from the likes of Simmy, Langa Mavuso, Daliwonga and Dlala Thukzin), the scrumptious brunch experience, the delicious specially crafted Brutal Fruit spritzer cocktails and the picturesque locations, it was the incredible people that made it so special. This year, Brutal Fruit is turning things up a notch with more experiential activities planned to enhance the vibe and take the energy to a new level. The experience will be shifting from an exclusive “bestie” gathering to a public extravaganza that fosters a sense of inclusivity, togetherness, and familial embrace. These brunches are all about self-expression and belonging.
“Last year, we were completely taken aback by the overwhelming interest in our firstever brunches,” says Sanelisiwe Tshangana, brand manager Brutal Fruit Spritzer. “What we now know is that there is a huge appetite for our eventing experience and for a platform through which people can come together and be unapologetically themselves. We want to once again celebrate our uniqueness as South Africans and create a space through which everyone feels seen. I think that’s what makes this so special – everyone shows up in their stylish outfits and just has a good time. Oh and of course our famous Brunch Box will also make a comeback.” Naturally, taking a page out of the book of our stylish MC Pamela Mtanga, fashion came to the fore last year with besties putting effort into their dazzling outfits and embracing their unique styles.
This time around, we expect fashion trends to come to the fore even more than before as attendees attempt to better the exuberant affair that was on show previously. For those who can’t make it, there’ll also be plenty of content on social media to keep everyone abreast of the stunning outfits of on show. With performances from the likes of DBN Gogo, Manana and Courtnae Paul, we can truly expect a memorable extravaganza for the books.
