THE FIRE LONG TABLE SUNDAY LUNCH AT DIKEME FARMS IN THE CRADLE OF HUMANKIND

Cooler temperatures are rolling in and it calls for a long table feast of local farm produce cooked with the magic of fire. The Fire long table Sunday lunch is happening at the Pecan pavilion and terrace at Dikeme farms, in the Cradle of Humankind, surrounded by the Magaliesburg mountains and breathtaking views.

Come experience a uniquely created event for you to explore all your senses in a setting of natural wonder. Guests will be seated at long tables, encouraging connection and conversation, whilst enjoying a multi-course ‘farm to table’ meal with carefully selected wines paired by Victor Okolo, an award-winning sommelier from Cape Town.

Our menu prepared by Chef Franco Buys will see mushroom and tomato canapés infused with a bold smoky essence, mains that include slow braised oxtail, smoke kissed harissa spiced chicken and premium prime rib cooked on the open flame, accompanied by freshly harvested fire roasted Winter vegetables and a vibrant seasonal salad. Ending off with a smoky cheese pan, charred ‘hung-over-fire’ pineapple and a fire warmed traditional South African Malva pudding.  All the while elevated by a selection of the finest South African wines that will sing in harmony with each rustic creation.

Don’t miss the opportunity to celebrate food cooked over the open fire where flames will dance and flavours soar in the beautiful outdoors in the Cradle of Humankind.
